Looking for something a bit different for your outdoor event? Or maybe you’d like a fun and unique way to spend the afternoon with your extended family?
Whether you’re catering for under 10 or over 100, Lion Learners offers amazing animal experiences in your garden, school field or public space. Great for all ages, it’s the ideal way to bring people and animals together.
The chance to meet and interact with awesome familiar and exotic animals from the around the world. This might include snakes, lizards, tortoise, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, giant millipedes, tarantula and much more.
Delight your guests with the slither of snake scales, the soft fur of a fluffy rabbit or the creepy crawly legs of a giant millipede. All Lion Learners animals are gentle, friendly and happy to be handled
For smaller garden parties, a one hour session gives you plenty of time to meet approximately 6-8 different animals, including mammals, reptiles and minibeasts.
For summer fetes or larger events, we can visit for longer. Depending on your needs, people can meet the animals as and when they’re ready (meet and greet style). Or we can run more structured workshops.
We do our best to accommodate animal preferences. A specific animal might not be able to visit if they were unwell or moulting and we do need to factor in plenty of rest days for every animal, as the animal’s welfare must always come first.
We do everything else and bring everything that’s needed to make the event a success. This includes tanks and pens for all the animals, and a gazebo for sun and rain shelter.
Lion Learners animal handling experiences start from £140 for one hour.

Animal welfare is at the heart of everything we do. Many of our animals have been rescued from neglect or adopted from people who can no longer care for them. The animals live with their presenter in special habitats with the best possible enrichment. This encourages stimulation and natural behaviours. By living in our homes, we are able to form exceptionally strong bonds with the animals. It also lets us keep a very close eye on them to make sure they are happy, healthy and willing to socialise. It’s crucial that our animals’ needs are met and they are comfortable in any situation.
We carefully pick the species we choose to share our lives with, to ensure that we are able to meet their needs. This is why you won’t find us travelling with animals such as meerkats or racoons.
When you meet us, it will quickly become obvious how much we love our animals. We hope you will love them as much as we do!
