We offer animal handling activities suitable for Early Years, with the session structure tailored to your needs. Whether you would like an hour long animal show, or want to bring the children along in smaller groups for a meet and greet with the animals, with Lion Learners the emphasis is always on allowing the children to get hands-on with our magnificent creatures. They will learn all about the animals too, so please let us know if you would like us to fit in with a particular topic. Parents are always welcome to stay and get involved in the show too.
Alternatively, you can book us to attend a Stay and Play session or family fun day. During these sessions set up our animals and allow children and parents to come and meet them in their own time. This works well if you have a large number of very young children at a Stay and Play session or when you are putting on a large event.
From £130 for a 1 hour session.

Have you ever wanted to introduce children to the characters in books for real? Now is your chance.
We read a book together and then afterwards we run a meet the animal session. Children get the chance to hold the animals featured in the books and ask questions. We have a wide range of animals to choose from, whether it is a dragon, a rabbit or a snake you’re looking for.
Ideal for libraries, bookshops, nurseries and school literacy weeks. We have a number of special sessions available to celebrate World Book Day, Halloween, Christmas and much more.
The Lion Learners animals are the perfect addition to your summer fair or family fun day. We are always extremely popular!
We can set the animals up indoors or outdoors for a meet and greet session, during which families can come along to meet and handle the animals in their own time.
During a one hour experience, you are likely to meet between six and nine animals, depending on the group. Animals are likely to include rabbits, guinea pigs, snake, lizard and some weird and wonderful creepy crawlies.
Each presenter has their own animals, who live at the presenters’ home. To find out which animals your local presenter has, please visit their presenter page by visiting the Book Now page. Please feel free to make a request for a particular animal, and if it is possible for the animal to be there, then it will be.
