Halloween

Lion Learners have once again had a fantastic Halloween taking our scarier animals to Morley markets and Chatsworth House. We'll be back at Morley markets on the last Saturday before Christmas with some of our cuter animals!
Easy Peasy Party Box

Garforth Library

Lion Learners once again had a great time at Garforth Library. They were celebrating a sucessful year since their launch.
New Arrivals: Scary Scorpion
1st October 2011
Richard the Asian Forest Scorpion has joined Lion Learners. He will be far to aggresive to handle (although not dangerous) but scorpions glow under UV light and he is going to make a great Halloween display!.
New Arrivals: Four Rats
September 2011
Four new rats have joined Lion Learners named Celia, Audrey, Rosalind and Aliena. They will be ready to come out in October.
New Arrivals: Dragons
August 2011
Three new bearded dragons have arrived at Lion Learners to join Horatio. They are three years old and are called William, Thelma and Louise.
Yeadon Carnival

Lion Learners had a great time at Yeadon Carnival, held at Yeadon Tarn Fields. Thanks to the organisers and everyone who came along and enjoyed the wonderful weather.

New Arrivals: Two Tortoises
11th May 2011
Two new tortoises have joimed the Lion Learners gang. They are 1 year old Horsefield's tortoises named Beatrice and Benedict. Hopfully they will have settled in be ready to start meeting people in the next month or so.
New Arrivals: Two New Guinea Pigs
21st April 2011
Two new male guinea pigs have joined Mona, Millie, Mushroom and Tiger. We have named them Achilles and Ajax. Achilles broke his leg as a baby and although it is all fixed now at five months old the pair were having difficulties finding a home.
Morley Markets

Lion Learners once again had a great time entertaining shoppers at Morley Markets on Good Friday and Easter Saturday with some of our animals (including our Easter bunnies!).

New Arrivals: Three Giant African Land Snails

Three African land snails joined our collection today. They have moved in with seven year old Oberon and Titania and five year old Mustardseed, Peasblossom, Cobweb and Puck. I have run out of fairies in A Midsummer Nights Dream to name them after so any suggestions are welcome!
Havercroft Children's Centre

Four White's Tree Frogs recently joined the Lion Learners' family. All four are settling in nicely. They will be making their Lion Learners debut at Chatsworth House farmyard on 19th February.
